Under the blazing sun, the Fourth Session of the Seventh Council of the China Friction and Sealing Materials Association, together with the First Meeting of the Second Expert Committee, was successfully held in Huangshi, the “Mineral Capital of China,” on July 4.

The meeting primarily conveyed and studied documents and guiding principles issued by the Party and the state on the tough battle to prevent and control pollution. It also heard policy briefings from leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on smart manufacturing, as well as a report on quality‑control measures for raw materials used in friction‑seal materials. In addition, environmental experts presented insights into the policies and requirements governing pollutant discharge in the friction‑seal materials sector. The participants engaged in active discussions to revise the “2017–2020 Energy‑Saving and Emission‑Reduction Demonstration Plan and Implementation Scheme for the Friction Materials Industry,” and concluded by jointly deliberating ways to advance smart manufacturing in the industry and other association initiatives.

Following the conclusion of the July 6 meeting, the participating leaders and experts conducted on-site visits to companies specializing in friction‑sealing materials and related raw materials. Saifu Friction Materials Co., Ltd. and Saiter Friction Materials Co., Ltd. were honored to welcome these distinguished leaders and experts for their inspection and work visit.

Huangshi Saifu Friction Materials Co., Ltd. was established in 1966 and specializes in the development, design, and production of powder‑metallurgy friction products. Its directly controlled subsidiary, Huangshi Saiter Friction Materials Co., Ltd., focuses on manufacturing friction materials for braking systems, including disc brake pads and drum brake shoes. Experts from the Friction and Sealing Association sequentially toured Saifu’s laboratory, finishing, pressing, and machining departments; after inspecting the steel‑sheet heat‑treatment and blanking areas, they proceeded to examine the production zones for brake shoes and assemblies, as well as the facilities dedicated to manufacturing disc and drum brake pads, thereby completing the entire tour.

This conference not only served as a platform for exchange and collaboration among major friction‑material customers and suppliers, but also helped advance the friction‑materials industry. At the same time, under the guidance of distinguished leaders and experts, Saifusaiti Friction Materials Co., Ltd. has made further progress, thereby fulfilling the company’s long‑standing corporate mission: to contribute our strength and expertise to the development of China’s friction‑materials sector.
