Company Overview

Huangshi Saite Friction Materials Co., Ltd. was established in 1996 and is located in Huangshi, the ancient capital of China’s mining and metallurgical industries. Its predecessor was Laurentz Lucas Huangshi Friction Materials Co., Ltd., jointly founded by Denmark’s Laurentz Corporation, the United Kingdom’s Lucas Industries, and Huangshi Saifu Friction Materials Co., Ltd. The company specializes in the research, development, production, and sales of friction materials and related products, offering more than 1,000 product specifications. It has built a relatively complete vertically integrated industrial chain in the friction materials sector, making it one of China’s largest enterprises in this field—characterized by advanced technology and strong R&D capabilities—and a standing director unit of the China Friction and Sealing Materials Association.

Sait Company is one of the two earliest Chinese manufacturers of asbestos-free, environmentally friendly brake pads for commercial vehicles (the other being Taimington). It occupies a site of 50,000 square meters, with 30,000 square meters of standard factory buildings and modern office space. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, the company has an annual production capacity of over 10 million units, including drum brake pads, disc brake pads, shoe‑type brake pads, and complete brake assemblies for automobiles. Additionally, it can produce more than 2 million units per year of various mechanical brake friction materials, electromechanical friction materials, and wind‑turbine yaw‑brake friction materials.

Sait Company adheres to a quality philosophy of “zero defects and zero customer complaints.” In 1999, it obtained ISO 9001 certification from the French international certification body BVQI; in 2007, it achieved ISO/TS 16949 certification from Singapore’s TUV‑PSB. Additionally, its products have passed rigorous testing by reputable agencies such as LINK and GREEN in the United States and have earned FMVSS 121D certification. Leveraging the advantages of a vertically integrated supply chain and strictly complying with its quality management system, Sait implements the “8S” on-site management principles, enabling dual‑level quality control—from raw materials to the production process—thus ensuring consistently high‑end, stable product quality over the long term.

Innovation and talent are the twin pillars of Sait’s rapid growth. Building on cutting-edge European friction‑material technologies, the company relentlessly pursues internal innovation and continuous improvement, developing a new generation of brake pad formulations that deliver exceptional wear resistance, superior safety, enhanced environmental sustainability, and unparalleled comfort—meeting the diverse demands of both domestic and international markets. At the same time, with an open and inclusive mindset, the company attracts top talent from across disciplines, assembling expert teams in R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and management. It has also established industry–university–research collaboration partnerships with numerous leading Chinese universities and institutes, securing six invention patents and achieving multiple breakthroughs in key technological areas, thereby providing sustained momentum and robust intellectual support for product innovation and technological advancement.
Set Company takes it as its mission to promote the advancement and development of the national friction materials industry. Actively engaged in market competition, it enjoys a strong reputation both domestically and internationally. Its products are supplied as original equipment to leading brands such as SAF, FAW, Second Auto, Northern Mercedes-Benz, Inner Mongolia Northern Heavy Duty Vehicle Co., Ltd. (Terex mining trucks), CIMC Group, Yonglita, He’s Xielì, Baohua, and others. In addition, they are used by public‑transport systems including Beijing Bus, Nanjing Bus, and Huangshi Bus, and are widely sold in Europe, the United States, Russia, South Korea, South Asia, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
